Excellence Across Industries

“Sustainability is core to Aligned's DNA, helping to guide our design, construction, and operation of data centers that minimize environmental impact and maximize efficiency. Green Globes certification reinforces our commitment to high-performance, resource-efficient infrastructure through rigorous third-party certification. We appreciate the Green Building Initiative’s leadership in advancing sustainable building practices and are proud to align with their mission."
Carolina Maestri, Global Head of ESG, Aligned Data Centers
Green Globes certified projects go beyond meeting sustainability goals—they set the standard for their industries.
Whether it’s a hospital, university, data center, industrial, or office building, GBI supports a wide range of project types across many sectors. We partner with project teams to implement smart strategies in energy and water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, low-carbon design, and more. By recognizing top-performing Green Globes certified projects of all types, we help share what works and inspire continuous improvement in the built environment.
WTCC Public Safety Simulation Center (Education) – 78%
Wendell, NC
Three Green Globes | Green Globes for New Construction
WTCC Public Safety Simulation Center provides reality‐based simulation for training programs in law enforcement, Emergency Medical Science, and unmanned aerial vehicle operations. The state-of-the-art facility was recognized for:
Intentional integrated design team and environmental management
during construction62% energy savings compared to a base code-compliant building
60% of the anticipated energy use produced by onsite Photovoltaic panels
A perfect score in the plumbing fixtures and fittings category leading to substantial water savings
Irrigation-free landscaping
Material selections supported by cradle-to-gate and grave life cycle analysis

West Henderson Hospital (Healthcare) – 80%
Clark County, NV
Three Green Globes | Green Globes for New Construction
West Henderson Hospital exemplifies innovation and leadership in sustainable healthcare design. The hospital was recognized for:
Exceptional energy performance, evidenced by an ENERGY STAR Target Finder score of 99 and achieved through features including an advanced HVAC system with sound isolation and variable fan speeds, chillers that are 40% more efficient than industry standards, and exclusive use of LED lighting
Potential 36% reduction in water consumption compared to baseline usage, resulting from low-flow fixtures, water-efficient irrigation systems, and compliance with the EPA’s WaterSense program
Construction processes that included careful handling of moisture-sensitive materials, 58% diversion of construction waste from landfills, and use of prefabricated components to minimized resource use

Overlook (Lodging/Residential) – 71%
Reno, NV
Three Green Globes | Green Globes for New Construction
Overlook’s thoughtful use of resources is demonstrated through their water reduction and sustainable practices used on-site during construction, including
the ambitious goal of recycling 75% of construction waste. These measures contributed to their Three Green Globes certification, as well as the following:
ENERGY STAR Target Finder score of 98
37% water reduction
High-efficiency lighting design throughout the property
ENERGY STAR rated appliances
Location near public transportation with access to cycling facilities
within the propertyGuidelines for green/sustainable project features, including VOC limits, maintaining indoor air quality standards during construction, and
specifying sustainable design and construction materialsHVAC systems that specify refrigerants with no to negligible ozone
deletion potential (ODP)

200 Clayton St. Redevelopment (Office) – 87%
Portland, OR
Four Green Globes | Green Globes for Core & Shell
Broe Real Estate Group’s 200 Clayton Street redevelopment project was the first commercial project in the state of Colorado to achieve a Four Green Globes certification, recognized for:
An integrated, organized, and communicative project team committed to achieving a high level of sustainability and willing to consider and implement recommendations for improvement
Selection of high-efficiency HVAC equipment, resulting in an ENERGY STAR Target Finder score of 88 and enhanced thermal comfort for the future building occupants
An aluminum-framed curtain wall maximizing access to daylight and views for the entire building perimeter while high-performance glazing mitigates glare and heat gain
Use of OneClick LCA tool to guide the design process by evaluating impacts from material transport during the construction process, material selection for use, service life, and end-of-life impacts
EV charging stations and expansive bicycle racks in the underground parking levels to encourage transportation choices that reduce carbon emissions
